WINNING PART 2
Be The One,
Today we’re going to continue our series on Winning. In our last email, we talked about how the first thing we have to do in order to win is to seek God first (Matthew 6:6). Look, there is no true success apart from the Father. I hope you took the challenge of connecting with Him daily and I’m guaranteeing that if you did, you benefited from it.
What I want to share with you today is what I believe is the second step to winning: VISION. No, I’m not talking about having good eyesight, I’m talking about having good foresight! Let’s look to the Old Testament for a lesson on vision.
Proverbs 29:18 KJV “Where there is no vision, the people perish...” Another translation says “where there is no prophetic vision, people cast off restraint!”
Read that again! When you don’t have a vision for what God is doing in your life, you perish and cast off restraint. In other words, the Bible is saying without vision you can not thrive. Vision answers the questions: “What type of person will I be? What’s my plan? What do I see myself becoming?” I want you to win, but that will be impossible if you don’t have a vision for your life.
I want to end part 2 with another challenge! This week, pray to the Lord and ask Him to give you a vision for your life. I’m not saying He will come to you in a dream or appear in your bedroom, but I am saying that you could hear from Him on what He has for you. Once you have that God-given vision, write it down! The Bible says that we should write vision down and make it plain in order for people to run with it. - Devyn Cheatwood // BTO Student Development
