7 Keys To Thrive In A Difficult Season (Part 5)

Happy Thursday BTO Family,

Today I want to encourage you. YOU CAN MAKE IT! Many times, problems want to take the steering wheel of our lives and try to drive our emotions. You have a choice, choose praise over the problems. Let's focus on that thought as we look back at our quote from the bible.

Ephesians 5:15-21 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.

In the midst of evil days (remember we talked of this earlier) and confusion there is one thing that should stay on our lips. Praise. I don’t know about you, but most days it's way easier to go negative than to sing worship to the Lord. This verse shows us that no matter what we face, praise has to be higher than our problems.

My challenge to you is don’t stop your praise. Sing Sir! Sing Mama. Your problems do not have to weigh you down. On your way home from a hard day's work, just belt it out. Sing about God’s goodness, faithfulness, mercy and unconditional love. Don’t sing that sad song. Turn up your praise!

This week, you may have gotten some heavy news. It may require more time, attention and sacrifice, but don’t allow those problems to silence your melody!! The verse told us to make it. Let me type this again….MAKE IT! You know what the verse doesn’t say, it doesn’t say feel it. Praise will never be higher than our problems if we wait for a feeling. You have to produce praise!!

This week, let’s give the highest praise, and let’s see our Father glorified even in the middle of our mess. I’m so excited right now, I hope you are too. Go get your praise on!!

Love ya,

Steven
