Belize is a small, culturally diverse nation located in Central America, bordered by Mexico, Guatemala, and the Caribbean Sea. Known for its beautiful beaches, tropical rainforests, ancient Maya ruins, and the world's second-largest barrier reef system, Belize is often called “The Jewel of the Caribbean.” It is the only country in Central America with English as its official language, reflecting its history as a former British colony before gaining independence in 1981.
Despite its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, Belize has faced longstanding political challenges, particularly a territorial dispute with neighboring Guatemala, which claims a majority portion of current Belizean territory. This dispute, rooted in colonial history, remains unresolved and is being addressed through the International Court of Justice as Belize continues to defend its sovereignty and national identity.
For over a decade, Be the One has served communities across Belize through mission trips focused on youth outreach, men's and women's ministry, and intentional discipleship. Our heart is to help individuals grow in their relationship with God, develop a deeper understanding of their faith, and build lasting connections rooted in Christ.
Through continued partnerships and meaningful relationships, we aim to invest in the spiritual growth and development of both the people of Belize and our mission teams.
