Hey Be the One Family,
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been writing on the topic of fear. Are you ever scared to make a mistake? Has that fear ever caused you to step back from an opportunity? Be the One, let's face it when we look at the world, it's a very scary time. People have concerns about employment, economy, or even their own effect on the world. No one likes the long walk back to the dugout after a strikeout. It feels super lonely, especially when you strike out in front of your peers or family. The last thing anyone wants to do is fail. As long as you live, there will be moments of winning and losing. Never agree with the lie that you are a failure. Failure is an event not a person.
Maybe you’ve been investing into a relationship that didn’t work out or you attempted to win in the workplace and came up short. When that fear begins to speak to you, it's imperative to take that thought captive. Jesus did not come to fix people, He came to save them. You’ve been saved. You're worth saving no matter what you've done. Maybe you just found out you lost your job, or there is an opportunity but a huge next step is required to achieve it. Don’t give in to the fear of failure. Here’s what Isaiah says:
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
When expectations are unmet, we have to manage thoughts of failure. The good news is, Isaiah shows us God has our back. He will strengthen us, help us and ultimately uphold us. Today, understand that failure is never final. Choose courage over cowering. Choose faith over fear. Don’t submit to the fear of failure. Greater is he that is in you than he who is in the world.
Love you,
