Once the Be the One Internship came to a close, I remember thinking how much I wish I could just take BTO home with me. Little did I know, God had plans for that! During the internship, I discovered my identity in Christ, and He began to reveal the gifts that He gave me. I was mentored by the most loving and supportive people who truly embodied the definition of a leader and they continuously helped me find freedom and healing. I was impacted greatly, and I got the opportunity to impact and serve others as well. Throughout this journey, I grew in my walk with God and my leadership skills. After the internship, I decided to take what I learned back to my hometown! I was provided with the resources and mentorship to start a Be the One Activate Club in my high school. We aim for students to meet new friends, grow in their leadership, connect with Jesus, and touch ministry. I want my peers to experience the same life-changing transformation that I did.
