Activate: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Gal. 6:9
Elevate: Since we started Be the One we have spent many weekends on the road. This means we’ve done a whole lot of packing, unpacking, sitting, and waiting. For the most part our fab 4 have learned the art of travel. However, once in the car it won’t be long before we hear that one universal question all kids tend to intrinsically know: Are we there yet? This phrase implies impatience, boredom, and confinement. It’s during these times that my wife and I begin to use the time as an opportunity rather than a hindrance. Before too long we are talking, singing, dancing, playing a game and then back to more dancing, ‘cuz that’s how we do.
Today, I want to encourage you with this, you’re going somewhere. You’re not just spinning your wheels. If you’ve been with us over the last 30 days, I believe the power of God is accelerating you’re progress. Refuse to allow the enemy to discourage you, convince you to quit, or distract you. Recognize that the devil’s thoughts are sent to hinder you. We don’t have to believe them, instead we must make the most out of every opportunity. Yes, you may feel some impatience, boredom, and the need for a change. But my encouragement to you is to focus on the promise that you will reap a harvest, if you stay the course.
Just like being in the car, notice your landmarks, and look back at where you started. This will bring the correct perspective when you’re feeling like you want to quit. You see the road ahead looks long and unending, but the road you’ve chosen is in the right direction heading to the right destination. Deepening your relationship with Jesus isn’t wasting your time, it will keep you from taking the wrong exit.
Cultivate: Spend some time thanking the Lord concerning the growth that has happened in you over the course of the last 30 days. Write it down so you can remember.
